A new Eurovelo route, Eurovelo 19 was launched 8th of March, 2019. The route goes along the River Meuse. I believe EV routes are high quality, and I have been recommended the River Meuse before before when this was a local / national route. The river flows through Dinant, which is a very picturesque town in Belgium – picture above.
I have created a new UK segment – that will arrive me at the port of Dover. I have previously cycled to Dover once before (via the River Thames, and an old pilgrimage route in Kent). The new route will go via a south London cycle route – that I was very impressed with last year, called NCN Route 21. Route 21 goes via many parks etc. Some interesting places / trails are also hit along journey such as; Tonbridge Castle, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Cuckoo Trail, Hastings, Rye etc. Rye is a medieval looking town that looks awesome to visit.
The route in the continent is mainly in Belgium, but also France for a fair bit. I very much liked cycling in Belguim (on my journey to Frankfurt). Amazing nation.
I may cycle this in 2019 (this year) however may decide not too.
Here is the planned route:
